2024 BASKETBALL CLUB PERKS AND BENEFITS
How do I join?
You can join the Basketball Club here. To join the club there is a $60 (annually) / $35 (6 months) club fee + (an extra $10 for an annual SUSF membership).
What’s on offer?
Sydney Uni Basketball Club is back and better than ever in 2024. Amongst other things, a membership gives you access to:
Free Access to 3x Weekly Scrimmages
Running weekly on Tuesdays (10:30 am-11:30 am), Thursdays (5:00/5:30 pm-6:30 pm) and Fridays (3:00 pm-5:00 pm) throughout the semester, club members gain free access to all weekly scrimmages ($10 without membership).
Scrimmages are usually $10 PER session without our membership, for some casual pick-up games and shoot-arounds and are open to players of all abilities and experience (it's a good mixture)! They are hosted at the Sydney Uni Sports and Aquatic Centre and are a good way for you to meet heaps of mates/friends who share the same passion! It’s fun, chill, social, and a good excuse to sport on campus regularly!
These scrimmages usually run through uni holidays as well (whilst variations in time/unavailabilities might occur during public holidays!). All you need is either your SID card or SUSF membership card to scan at the SUSAC reception upon entering.
SUSF Lunchtime Social Comps
These run between 12:00-1:30 pm every Friday (9 Rounds including Finals). By being a club member, we put you into teams and cover the cost of your participation (which is $320 per team registration)! They are slightly more organised and competitive and you get to play with people outside of Sydney Uni as well! These open/mixed competitions are a great chance to play with friends.
Free NBL - Sydney Kings + Sydney Flames Tickets
Members receive exclusive access to free Sydney Flames and Sydney Kings tickets - not just one but multiple of them! All you have to do is ask for them and they shall be yours!
Access to Sydney Uni Basketball Programs
Being a member also offers the chance to trial for and compete in additional Sydney Uni Basketball programs or events, including:
3X3 Nationals
UniSport Nationals
UBL
Beginner to Baller
Personalised Coaching
Casual Shoot-Around Sessions
To join the Club, we can either sign up through https://join.susf.com.au/ or do it in person at any SUSF receptions!
Kindly reply/shoot us and email (sydneyunibasketball@gmail.com) with a proof of your membership if/once you've decided to join us, this can either be a screenshot of an email confirmation or a membership contract of joining the club, along with a screenshot of your Facebook profile, so we may add you to a Facebook messenger chat with all the information and details you'll need! This includes what the club has to offer and our weekly scrimmage schedules, and it will also be a great way for you to stay in touch with us!
