Two squads

At the beginning of the year, squads will undergo team training and structured individual skill and strength & conditioning sessions on campus in preparation for the inaugural University Basketball League (UBL).

Squad members will also represent Sydney University at other UniSport Australia events including both 3x3 Uni Nationals and 5x5 Uni Nationals.

Alternative development pathway

Sydney Uni Basketball see an opportunity to assist with the development pathway of local, talented basketballers who attend Sydney University. The HP Program is designed to provide additional opportunities on top of club and state/national programs to squad members, ensuring their studies and future are can be adequately supported while they continue to develop on the court.

By providing opportunities to represent Sydney University in competitions such as the UBL, squad members will also benefit from the chance to play against talented basketballers across the country, gaining additional exposure in Australia’s basketball landscape.
